The first reference of the spring that was revealed in Drahomyrchany village, near Stanislawow town. The name of the spring originates with the DEWAJTIS novel (1889) by Polish writer Maria Rodzevych, who lived at Kobrynschyna, in Grushevo village (Polissia). DEVAITIS is the name of a vegete oak tree, poetized in eponymously-named novel, which means ‘devine’ (Devos lat. — God) in translation.
According to historical records, the bottling was initiated on an industrial scale by that time. Even now this ultimate water requires no additional filtering and is unique and beneficial drink for human health. Back in that time, the vigorous oak trees — the symbol for longevity and health — grew there by the spring. That’s where the name DEVAYTIS originated from.
Over 100 year ago, near Dragomyrchany, villagers discovered one more mineral water spring with curative and extraordinary properties. They named it SPRING OF JACOB after St. Jacob, the Apostle. (Zdroj sw. Jakuba in polish)
The 86 meter well was drilled at the source near Olesyov and called the SPRING OF JACOB.
Thermal treatments resort was founded right at the source in Olesyov which could accomodate 60-150 person a season. The beneficial composition of brine from the SPRING OF JACOB was firstly compeared with Iwonich-Zdroj water from the KOROL spring. At that time Iwonich-Zdroj was concidered to be the most popular Polish Thermal Baths.
Water drawing was put on hold at the source at Thermal resort to allow military barracks and shooting grounds be set up during the war time.
The wells and springs sources were restored by the Arion LTD and new bottling facilities were constructed.
The industrial bottling of healing drinking water “JACOB SPRING” and mineral water “DEVAYTIS” was started. Bottled water became available across Western Ukraine.
Two more bottling lines for 0.5 L, and 2 L capacity were added to ARION LTD production facilities.
New Hi Tech production line for glass bottling was added. For the first time “DEVAYTIS” water became availble for consumers in glass bottles.
Reconstruction and modernisation of ARION LTD bottling plant. Added new automated lines that correspond to European standards requirements. New design of the bottle and lable used.
